The New Theatre

The New Theatre has been around since 1997 and has only grown in reputation since then. It’s known for its supportive and creative environment that has allowed for the development of an impressive catalog of work.

As a unique producing venue, The New Theatre has a full team of dramaturgs and creatives whose purpose is to continually nurture, develop, and stage new plays of high standard and affordability. The theatre itself is only 68 seats, but it’s located in Dublin’s old Temple bar area – meaning that productions have been met with acclaim both regionally and nationally. But most importantly, The theatre supports new writing and endeavors to provide a great theatre experience for all – regardless of where they’re seated.
